The biggest party of the year is quickly approaching: New Year’s Eve 2017. It’s time for popping champagne, midnight kisses, and singing along to Auld Lang Syne. Do you already have plans to ring in the New Year? If you’ll be in the San Antonio area, there are a lot of options for how you can spend your last night of 2016. While there are plenty of family events to consider, many of the parties we’ve included on our list are exclusive for ages 21 and up. So, call the babysitter and get ready to let loose, here’s a list of some of the hottest parties in town for New Year’s Eve 2017.

Celebrate San Antonio 2017

The absolute biggest party in San Antonio on New Year’s Eve is the Celebrate San Antonio Party located in the city center at HemisFair Park. This event has free admission, and attendees can look forward to three stages with live music, carnival games and rides, delicious festival food, and of course, a fireworks extravaganza.

The party starts at 6pm and continues through midnight for the fireworks. In previous years, Travel & Leisure Magazine has ranked San Antonio’s New Year’s Eve Celebration the 7th best city to spend New Year’s Eve. Sponsors for the event include Bud Light, Uber, HEB, Univision, Valero, and others.

Pat O’Brien’s New Year’s Eve VIP Party

If you’re ready to kick off the New Year in style, there’s no better party than Pat O’Brien’s New Year’s Eve VIP Party in downtown San Antonio. With a VIP casino theme, the party includes a premium open bar, a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres, a buffet style dinner with dessert, and endless entertainment. Spend the evening testing your luck at a variety of casino games, enjoy the live band, and take home countless party favors.

The party is on December 31, from 8pm to midnight, and there is assigned seating for dinner. Ticket prices are listed at $128.25 per person, not including service fees.

Topgolf New Year’s Eve

Literally “swing” into the New Year at Topgolf San Antonio’s New Year’s Eve Party. With multiple options for the night, you can reserve a bay on the 3rd or 1st floors for $255 per bay, which can hold up to six people. You’ll receive unlimited Topgolf game play from 9pm to 1am, and New Year’s Eve party favors.

If you’re looking to make the night even more special, you can reserve a VIP bay on the 2nd floor for $450, which holds up to six people. You’ll also be right next to the action on the main floor that gives you exclusive access to the Signature Event Room. The VIP package also included unlimited Topgolf game play from 9pm to 1am, access to the New Year’s Eve Chef’s Choice Buffet, one bottle of Chandon Rose for the table (Guests 21 and up), unlimited fountain soda, coffee and tea, and of course, plenty of New Year’s Eve party favors.

All tickets are final by December 22, and all cancellations must be submitted by December 22 in order to receive a refund. The event will run from 9pm to 1am on December 31.

Hotel Valencia on the Riverwalk New Year’s Eve Celebration

The heart of San Antonio is, of course, the famous River Walk. So what better way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than right along the edge of the riverbank? The Hotel Valencia is offering two special deals for overnight accommodations to help you enjoy the various nightlife events taking place in downtown.

For a rate of $259 a night, per room, you’ll receive luxury accommodations for two, a bottle of chilled champagne, assorted Artisan Chocolate Truffles, and complimentary valet parking. New Year’s Eve 2017 at Howl at the Moon

This New Year’s Eve, it’s time to howl at the moon. Howl at the Moon San Antonio is hosting their 2017 New Year’s Eve Party and it’s happening right along the River Walk. They’re offered three different packages for night, one that is limited to standing room, and two that offer seating.

The Just Dance package starts at $30 a person, and includes guaranteed entry, one complimentary drink ticket, a champagne toast at midnight, and party favors. Guests purchasing this package must arrive between 8pm and 9:30pm.

The Party Rock package starts at $110 a person, and includes guaranteed reserved seating, a dinner buffet served between 6pm and 8pm, a champagne toast at midnight, and party favors. Guests purchasing this package are asked to arrive between 6pm and 8:30pm.

Finally, the Champange Supernova package offers the ultimate New Year’s Eve experience. Starting at $125 a person, this package includes premium guaranteed reserved setting, a dinner buffet between 6pm and 8pm, a champagne toast at midnight, and party favors. Like the Party Rock package, guests must arrive between 6pm and 8:30pm.
