Summer Art Studios at the Southwest School of Art

The Southwest School of Arts Summer Art Studios offers one- and two-week-long classes in a positive, nurturing, and fun environment for students ages 5 to 18. There are more than 100 diverse classes available for students to attend, and each week brings a new selection. Each class is taught by a professional artist and artist educator who help develop students’ individual expression.

Mo-Ranch Summer Camp

Mo-Ranch is a co-ed residential Christian summer camp that’s for boys and girls ages 8-15. The camp is located along the north fork of the Guadalupe River in the wide-open spaces of the beautiful Texas Hill Country! This summer camp is a place where your child will grow in character, faith, and confidence through meaningful relationships in a Christ-centered natural setting. Activities include archery, paddle boarding, camp clubs, kayaking, canoeing, zip line, Guadalupe River and the rapids, hiking, games and outdoor sports, critter classes, arts and crafts, and so much more! Trinity University is in its 7th season of hosting summer technology programs. Kids and teens build valuable STEM skills in an inspiring, collegiate setting. Mad Science of San Antonio

Mad Science camps are designed with exciting, fun, and hands-on science activities. Your child will become a junior scientist for the week. We use an inquiry-based technique that allows even the youngest camper to enjoy learning. Children will design, create, build, and assemble a variety of projects. 9 different camp themes are available including robots, rockets, spy academy, grossology, camp eureka, and more! Summer Basketball Camp with the San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs Summer Basketball camps offer both day and overnight camp programs for both boys and girls 7- to 18-years-old. All camp sessions include special appearances from a current NBA/WNBA player, a current NBA/WNBA coach, and a former NBA player. Camps are held throughout the month of July.

School of Rock San Antonio

School of Rock San Antonio’s comprehensive camp experience is designed to hone music performance and ensemble skills in a creative and fun environment. Instructors use Rock ‘n Roll to teach guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keys, culminating in an awesome live show on the final day! The camps cater to rockers aged 6 – 18 of all levels of experience – from beginners who are brand new to their instrument through to more experienced rockers with some experience under their studded belts.

Summer Youth Program at San Antonio Parks & Recreation

The long, lazy days of summer means lots of fun for kids. But they also represent a perfect opportunity for exploring new activities, learning new sports, developing friendships, and growing. Youngsters can do that by participating in the Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Youth Program. We also offer a Summer Food Program that helps make sure youngsters who get assistance with lunch during the school year continue to get that important nutritional meal during the summer. If you’re looking for an affordable, nurturing program for your kids over the summer, you’ve come to the right place. The 2017 Summer Youth Program is June 12 – August 4 from 7:30 am to 5 pm.
